The Power of Cummunications: Improving Public Relations for 27 Years

Marketing

Sawchuk Brown Associates provide strategic marketing counsel that focuses on positioning through innovative approaches, branding development, integrating multiple disciplines and relying on strong research to develop and test messages.

We often partner with advertising, design and marketing firms to enhance our programs and implement certain functions (e.g., media buying, website design) that we do not provide internally.

Staff have marketing experience and expertise in areas such as:

  • Brand development and assessment
  • Quantitative and qualitative market research
  • Strategic message development
  • Production across all media types
  • On-line marketing
  • Direct marketing
  • Event and sports marketing
  • Sales force and internal communications

We ascribe to the precepts of integrated marketing communications (IMC) and recognize the value of emerging trends in "buzz marketing," word of mouth marketing, viral or guerrilla marketing, social marketing, and related initiatives.

We also concur with advertising and branding guru Al Ries (creator of Positioning): "The birth of a brand is usually accomplished with publicity, not advertising," he now contends. Advertising, of course, has a significant role in maintaining a brand over a prolonged period of time. But, Ries argues, "Most companies develop their marketing strategies as if advertising were their primary communications vehicle. They're wrong. Strategy should be developed first from a publicity point of view."

Long-term brand building and management are not possible without focused communications. We work to make sure that messages are clear and consistent, delivered in the right media at the right time and in the right place. We believe that the strongest messages are the result of knowledge of an organization's brand and its relationship to its target audiences. And we know that the messages are best received when integrated across all communication channels.
